At the end of each year, I always create a ritual of going back through the months to journal about each significant event. It is a beautiful way to take a step back and truly see how these life events have shaped me and my environment. So often we are caught up in what's next, but what about celebrating and learning from what has been to appreciate all the ways we’ve grown?

This online experience is for those who are wanting to add a ritual to their New Year's Eve. It’s for those who want to celebrate and honour what has been in 2022.

The ritual includes:

For millennia our ancestors worshiped the Sun and revered the Solstice (21st December) as the height of Winter, as a time of quiet reflection and restoration. This is when they released the past, whilst also dreaming the future into being, allowing intentions to formulate in their subconscious, just as the seeds of all that will bloom in the following year hibernate beneath seemingly inactive fallow land. At this time our fore-bearers rejoiced in the Sun's increasing power, as after appearing to stand still for a short while, the days gradually begin to grow longer from this point on.

This ceremony will be a journey to honour the depths of Winter, the tranquility within you and the triumph of light over darkness, through rejuvenating practices that enliven the senses. We join together to share solstice rituals, dance and be enveloped by sound healing with reiki.

We will create a safe space where all of you is welcome, the dark and the light. You can face your feelings, share openly and move instinctually, free from judgement or prying eyes.

India is currently facing the worst outbreak of Covid-19 in the world. With more than 300,000 new cases per day (likely vastly more) the country is struggling deeply to provide care for those who are sick. Families are grieving and it’s at a moment like this that we can come together to help.

Calli and I are teaching a special fundraiser class of meditation and yoga to collect donations on behalf of ActionAid UK. We will come together to raise the energetic vibration and send our love & money to those who need our support.

ActionAid UK is planning the following support:

Distribution of 8,000 safety and sanitation kits, including protective items for communities to use in sanitation work, burials, and other essential activities.

• Help-desks to provide vital information and connect people with appropriate services (health, vaccination, ambulances);

• Direct cash transfers for immediate food and health needs;

• Arranging testing and vaccination camps to ensure widespread vaccination coverage;

• And reaching out to some of the most vulnerable including migrants in rural and urban areas, ensuring they have access to health check-ups and quarantine information.

Calli is a Senior Yoga Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Mentor and Mama with more than 20 years of movement exploration and practise. She is a passionate student of all things movement, nervous system rebalancing, trauma response and somatic healing. Her classes are slow, fluid, playful, embodied practises that focus on bringing you home to yourself on every layer. Her wish is that each one of us can find pure joy and awe in the way in which our bodies move, total pleasure in our uniqueness and that we all can fall in love with the process of unravelling, unlearning and getting to know ourselves inside out.

As a yoga teacher and sensual movement guide Alice provides a safe space for you to turn inwards and explore your unique body and mind with curiosity and playfulness. Tam’s Sound Bath sessions provide the healing techniques of sonic meditation in an authentic and approachable way. Sonic orchestration is an extension of meditation. The effects on the body have countless benefits which include managing stress, sleep and anxiety. These immersive experiences aim to connect each individual on a very personal level. Using Gongs, Himalayan and Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, Chimes and other therapeutic instruments Tam uses the power of sound to ‘bathe’ the body mind and soul.

It will be the last one for a little while as soon Calli will give birth to her baby girl.

Calli and I will be splitting 100% of donations between two foundations supporting black women. They are Loveland Therapy Fund, a foundation providing financial assistance to women of colour, with a particular focus on black women so that they can access therapy. Secondly The National Bailout who provide funds to bail out black mothers and caregivers so that they can be reunited with their families.
